Kasargod district

kasargod is the northernmost district of kerala: coconut and arecanut gardens along the coast, extensive paddy fields in the midland and rubber, cashew and ginger plantations in the hills, the district of kasargod has much to offer. sacred temples, majestic forts, ravishing rivers, undulating hills, verdant valleys and unspoilt beaches.

BEKAL FORT

 

 

imponent costruction of the 16th century ordered by Ekkary Sivappu Nayak between 1502 e 1650, overtaken then by tipu sultan and finally by the british. it is the best conserved fort in kerala.

bekal fort seems to be one of the sceeneries of 1001 nights. the fort is actually often used as a sceene for movie shooting.

below the fort, towards north, the beach is still untouched by tourism and its in this place that we have found a plot of land to buy and build a resort where we love to welcome the friends of visita-kerala. the property is separed of the wonderfull white beach by a small river.bungalows are being built with all natural materials.

the restaurant with seaview terrace, an internet-point and a game-zone are planned.

the ayurvedic center is allready operational: an ayurvedic doctor and professional staff for treatments and massage, ladies for ladies, gents for gents are happy to offer their services to our guests.

the resort is located in the shadow of about fourty coconut trees, at the feet of the fort, overlooking the white, untouched beach.
